Comenius Project - using aromatics herbes and aromats in traditional recipes

 
 
 

The Comenius Programme is a part of LLP, appointed by European Fellowship in 2006. A main target of LLP is support European Union evolution, in order to make the union economy become the most competitor and the most dynamic world’s economy, based on lore, able to hold sustainable growth, with a more work place and better work place and bigger coherence. Purpose of LLP is furtherance of change, partnership and mobility as well as crown European’s measurement of education.

Comenius Programe is oriented on school education and has two targets. The first is broadening by young people and teachers lore about cultures’ multiplicity and europeans’ languages, better understanding it and catch sight value, as conceal this multiplicity. The second target is reassurance young people support to make value of basic life expertise’s and abilities useful for they personal evolution, at that to make prize of work in future and realize as a young and active citizen of European national.

"The use of aromatic herbs and spices in traditional recipes" is a Comenius Programe’s Multiateral Partnership Schools Project. It will be realize since September 2009 to June 2011 by nine schools from ten countries. A coordinator of project is school from France, Leap Saint Exupery, from Le Loroux Bottereau. Extant partners is a schools from: France, Romania (two), Belgium, Italy, Cyprus, Turkey and of course our school.

Above which problems we will work on?

During the whole project we will be find out different types of recipes of partnership countries with use of herbs and spices used in region of each partner. We will also fight with bad feeding habits The tasks to do more or less is: working on recipes of polish meals, their realization and collecting of files by photos and films as well as know medical features of those herbs. We will make a website which will be actualized every month; on that web site you can find recipes of all our partners.

The finale result it will be a calendar which contains European traditions. That calendar will show all recipes collected by cooperation with our partners and also Polish- English and English – Polish dictionary of culinary terms. We will find out the culture differences between partners in a scope of history, geography, shape of society and also history of European Community. A participation in that project improve language skills and help to develop cooperation at school

How we will work?

Teachers of different subject will realize on their lessons topics connected with the aims of the project. In September we chose a group of 18 students, who take part in project and they will realize planed activities on additional lessons leaded by teachers: Danuta Budzoń ( school coordinator), Barbara Zajac,Estera Rzenno-Katerla, Małgorzata Szaniawska- Sapela, Małgorzata Klekot and Anna Bibrzycka

Within the confines of the Project is planned mobility of students during which students will work together on planned activities, especially the final shape of calendar. In May 2010 our students will be the guests in the schools of Rumania, Turkey, and Cyprus. In October 2010 their peer from Cyprus and Romania will visit Oswięcim.

On realization of that project School received finance of 24000 eur from the Lifelong Learning Programme.

We will keep abreast local and school society about our progress. At the end of the project we will present its result for example by tasting meals from the project.
